#EMG2023 Ceremonies & Event Square

EMG2023 is about much more than just sports. Togetherness, promotion of wellness, shared
gala nights and all the other events apart from sports will make this a unique experience for
the athletes both in Tampere and elsewhere in Finland.

Opening Ceremony 27.6.2023

The unparalleled EMG2023 opening ceremony will start at the Central Square, from where a parade of athletes and other participants will march towards the Ratina Stadium. There the European Masters Games 2023 event will be officially declared open by the IMGA president, former pole vault World Record holder Sergey Bubka and the EMG2023 host Kaj Kunnas. A cappella ensemble Rajaton, dance group Lunddance and acrobatic group Akron Taika will also be taking the stage and DJ Juissi will lift the mood with good music.

The opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 27th with free entry for the EMG2023 participants and all the sports fans.

Closing Ceremony 8.7.2023

The closing ceremony of the European Masters Games 2023 sports festival will be celebrated in the early evening of 08.07. at  the Laikunlava (Near by the Central Square). The event promises impressive programme numbers like a performance of Argentine tango with Pasi&Maria Laurén, Lunddance danceshow and also presents upcoming event destination.

Event Square is the official living room of the #EMG2023

Event Square is a meeting place where you can get to know the atmosphere of the games with various activities, partners and program. Relax on the terrace and enjoy refreshments and snacks. The event area is entry-free, non-smoking and has no age limit. Kisatori connects event participants, city residents and other tourists.
