What sports have you trained for in the past?
Athletics, walking and rowing
What has made you exercise even today? Describe your values, your own view on why every adult should exercise?
Exercise is good. When I go to the gym or go for a walk, I stay functional and get energy for everyday chores alone.
When exercise stays within reasonable limits, it prevents injuries and illnesses and improves the quality of life.
Motto:
It all starts with respect for others. Accept the situation, at what level you are. (Don’t improve your situation with pranksters.)
How would you like to encourage other people your age to bravely come to exercise?
The quality of life improves and gets program for days. Exercise increases mental alertness and prevents illness.
Your best sports memory?
The first unit competition and victory in the autumn of 1972 on the Saimaa Canal. Had a fine 12km on a sunny afternoon.
The Montreal Olympics as an experience is also memorable.
What do you expect from EMG2023 competitions?
I believe that allparticipants have joy and jubilation with them, and it is great to watch the happy athletes. I look forward to rowers of different ages and their race performances. Motivation is rewarded with such a trip.
I get to volunteer for rowing competition myself and look forward to great encounters.
