Tammer-Golf | the cradle of golf in Tampere and Pirkanmaa
20.04.2023
In Ruotula, right near the center of Tampere, golf has been played since the late 1960´s. Tammer-Golf is the 10th oldest golf club in Finland and currently has more than 1,700 members.
Tammer-Golf
Our course is a traditional park course, where length is not necessarily the challenge, but rather the skills of hitting through trees, bunkers and hazard areas. Our central location as the only 18-hole course in Tampere has made our course one of the most popular in Finland, for example during the covid pandemic.
You can now become a member of our club without an initiation fee and joining is easy directly from our website. Our wide practice range is open to everyone and short game areas make getting to know golf easy. Our skilled golf professionals Kari Järvenpää and Esa Lehti are offering courses for beginners and advanced golfers, almost throughout the all outdoor season.
Our club restaurant Greensome offers delicious lunch and á la carte dishes, and our cozy and sunny terrace is a real summer oasis.
Golf in #EMG2023
We are proud to be a golf course at the upcoming European Masters Games 2023. We got Finland’s most successful golfer of all time, Mikko Ilonen, as our ambassador. Although Mikko would also be suitable as being participant himself, due to his age, he is cooperating with us for the future course – and hopefully one day becoming the number one course Finland – the Nurmi-Sorila area.
Together with Mikko Ilonen, Tammer-Golf welcomes all golfers over the age of 35 to the European Masters Games 2023 event on the Ruotula course on July 7-9. (practice round Thu 6.9.).
